Narrative & Media Projects

Storytelling that reclaims erased histories, shifts dominant narratives, and sparks dialogue

At Health Justice, we believe that narrative is power. The stories we tell, and those we leave untold, shape our understanding of health, justice, and who is seen as worthy of care. Our narrative and media projects aim to reclaim erased histories, elevate lived experience, and challenge dominant frames that reinforce systemic harm.

We produce storytelling-based work that spans documentary film, digital campaigns, and multimedia storytelling grounded in health justice. Whether unpacking the history of the HIV epidemic or amplifying the voices of those navigating health systems today, our media work serves as both a record and a catalyst for change.

Our Approach

Our narrative projects are deeply collaborative and community-centered. We work with creatives, researchers, advocates, and cultural workers to ensure that the work reflects the truths and complexities of those most impacted by injustice. We approach storytelling not as a vehicle for inspiration or awareness alone, but as a powerful tool for truth-telling, memory, and systemic intervention.
